About TTDC: TTDC is a state-funded, non-profit technology-based economic development (TBED) organization focused on 21st century high-tech, high-wage job and wealth creation in TN. We were created by the state legislature to serve as the state’s trusted advisor on TBED initiatives in the areas of Strategic Research and Development, Entrepreneurship, Technology Commercialization and Venture Capital. About The TTDC Technology Maturation Fund: This is a competitive funding program that will make grant awards of up to $50,000 to researchers affiliated with qualified institutions or for-profit entities partnered with Tennessee research institutions in order to commercialize intellectual property and accelerate the development of projects that have commercial potential. About The TTDC Rural Seed Fund: The purpose of the Fund is to accelerate company development by providing access to early-stage capital to entrepreneurs during the critical stage when they are developing their businesses to the point of readiness for outside investment and/or commercial development. The 2011 program will make grant awards of up to $20,000 to entrepreneurs located in rural areas of Tennessee. About The TTDC SBIR/STTR Phase 0/00 Grant Program: The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program are separate federal initiatives that provide research and development funding to qualified small businesses in order to stimulate innovation and development in high technology areas. TTDC’s grant program is a competitive application process designed to financially support selected SBIR/STTR applicants in Tennessee. The Phase 0 award (paid-for expert support services for Phase I proposals) and Phase 00 (for Phase II proposals) programs are an innovative process established to give highly qualified Phase I and Phase II applicants the best possible chance to be competitive in the SBIR/STTR programs in our state.
